Interlace Keyword List

The purpose of keywords is to capture the key ideas of a research paper while simultaneously facilitating search engine optimization. Uniformity of use is desirable, so please consult this list as an aid. The list is not intended to be comprehensive, but rather to give a flavor of the kind of ideas you might include and not include. For example, do not include proper names or names of patterns; mathematical terms such as combinatorics, graph coloring, etc. will be indicated using the text that accompanies the corresponding MSC codes.

The form of each fiber art name is specified in the list below, e.g. knitting (not knit). Sometimes it is a gerund, while other times it is not; please look!

As you choose keywords for an article, consider using a keyword for:
(1) the type of fiber art,
(2) the key crafting technique,
(3) crucial mathematical technique(s) employed---this may comprise more than one keyword, and
(4) if the work/technique is specific to a particular type of object, that may be included, as well---or may comprise zero keywords.

Several words in this list are accompanied by parenthetical comma separated lists. This implies that all of those variants are in the list of keywords. For example, braid (equivalence, group, presentation, word) means that braid, braid equivalence, braid group, braid presentation, and braid word are all useful key words.
