Peer Review Policy

A manuscript sent out for peer review is reviewed by at least two anonymous expert referees, at least one of whom views only an anonymized version of the manuscript. (This is primarily because a member of the Editorial Board may be a referee for a manuscript.) A manuscript may be rejected without being sent out for peer review if it is judged by the Editors-in-Chief to be outside the aims and scope of the journal. No Editorial Board member shall be involved in review or decisions about a manuscript on which they are named as an author.

Manuscripts are reviewed without regard to any author's age, sex, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, socioeconomic class, physical ability, health condition, or religious and political persuasions.

All communications about manuscripts will be conducted via email. Because of the intensive nature of peer review for manuscripts on mathematics and fiber arts, we attempt to return comments within four months but do not guarantee this. If an author needs faster processing, this may be requested by emailing the Editors-in-Chief.

The possible manuscript decisions are reject, provisional accept (with conditions for eventual acceptance specified), or accept (though minor changes may be required). Decisions by the Editors-in-Chief are final.

The Interlace logo is a vector version of sarah-marie belcastro's knitted (8,6) torus link.
